I just wanted to let everyone know that we made it back to Iowa!! Some of our friends helped us load the truck and we finaly left Albuquerque around 4pm on Saturday, the 15th and arrived in Iowa City around 9pm, Sunday night. Charlie drove the whole route as I was nervous about driving a big truck with a car towed behind it (I am almost positive I would have hit something!).
Originally we were going to store things in Charlie's brother Pete's basement but at the last minute, Sunday at about 8pm, we decided to put everything in storage. The main reason is because we didn't think all of our big items would fit down his stairs and then we wouldn't need to bother him if we wanted something from a box. Because of this late decision and our need to actually get a storage unit, we waited until Monday to unload the truck and Iowa decided to welcome us back with snow and sleet! It was not too bad and we had some good laughs from the way I labeled some of the boxes.
I am working from home, Charlie starts his new job on Monday, and we are still in the process of looking for a home to buy. We are extremely happy to be back and can't wait to see everyone again!

Randy Update
Today Charlie got to talk to his dad for the first time since December 15. (His incident happened on December 16th) He seems to be in good spirits and was moved from ICU! God is great and we are so happy and grateful that he is improving every day. To get more updates, click here. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate it so much.

New Years
Hospital Time
While in the hospital visiting Randy, we had to make the most of our time together and have a few laughs. (To see how Randy is doing, visit here) Above are pictures of our beds in the hospital and a night where we got the chance to sneak out for awhile and after we returned, we had quite the giggle fest.
Christmas
Even though I don't have any pictures to share, I wanted everyone to know we had a wonderful Christmas. We got to spend a lot of time with family and shared a lot of love and laughs. It was great!
Washington DC - National Christmas Tree
Washington DC - Museums
It has been a crazy couple of weeks recently so I thought I should update everyone on what has been happening. Above are some pictures from my most recent Washington DC trip where I finally had time to visit some museums. I saw the National Archives Museum (no photos allowed), the Museum of National History and the Museum of American History. I have to say that my favorite was the Museum of American History. It had so much to look at and to learn all about our country was fantastic. I highly recommend it!
