Olive's 1st Experience with Snow

After our big snowstorm on Thursday, we finally took Olive out in the snow to play. We pulled her around on the sled and let her sit in the snow for awhile. At first she was a little unsure but then she loved it!

Olive - 31 weeks

Big moment of the week - Olive has teeth! I checked on Saturday because she was drooling more than usual but there was nothing. I checked again on Sunday because she was gnawing on a toy and there were her two front bottom teeth. I was pretty surprised and will get a picture when they show more.

Other activities of the week included going to Sage's 1st birthday party in Grimes. Olive and Sage seemed to remember each other and had fun together.

Olive - 7 months

Olive is becoming harder and harder to get good pictures of. She is constantly moving which means most of our pictures are blurry so I apologize about that.

I feel that she is a couple of weeks away from crawling as she has been rocking back and forth on her hands and knees. She has also been scooting herself around on her butt which is quite fun to watch.

Olive - 29 weeks

Olive - 28 weeks

Olive is continuing to do well and seems to pick up something new each week.

This week she figured out clapping and it is so cute when she does it. She also has been "dancing", especially when music is playing and is a big fan of worship time at church.

Olive - 27 weeks

We had Olive's 6 month check up and she has gained over 2 lbs and grew 2 inches. She now weighs 17.1 lbs and is 27.5 inches long.
The dr said she is doing well but we noticed she is starting to experience some stranger anxiety so she starting crying when the dr was looking over her and cried even harder when she got her shots.
Olive has also started eating baby food and eats like a champ! I hope to start making some at home for her and enjoy watching her try new flavored.

Olive - 6 months

We have a beautiful 6 month old girl! Can you believe it?

Olives loves sitting up and talking away and she is starting to eat baby food instead of just rice cereal and she seems to like it. Her facial expressions when she is trying new flavors is quite funny!

She is also starting to dislike it very much when she loses sight of you even if you are in the same room and will whine to let you know. She has her next appointment on Thursday so we are very excited to see how much she weighs and how long she is.

Olive - 25 weeks

This week Olive got to meet her uncle Jake for the first time since he came to town for Pete and Cody's wedding and reception. She likes him a lot and thinks he is quite entertaining!

Olive - 24 weeks

Olive has been sitting up for brief periods of time for a couple weeks but after this weekend she now sits up on her own for quite awhile. It is interesting how one day it just clicks and she can do it. Now, she really only needs support if she starts getting tired but that usually takes quite awhile as she loves to look around and see what everyone is up to.

Olive's Dedication

On Sunday, Olive was dedicated at our church. She wore my baptismal dress and did really well. It was a great moment for all of us!

Olive - 23 weeks

Olive finally started to understand the concept of eating off a spoon this week and is now enjoying rice cereal on a daily basis. She is quite messy although it is getting better and we don't have to feed her in just a diaper anymore.
