Olive - 16 months

Wow! Time has flown by. Where did our summer go?

It has been crazy and wonderful and so hard to believe that Olive is 16 months old, and that it is September already. Enjoy some pictures of Olive and I will hopefully do some more posts soon of our other adventures.

4th of July

Over the 4th of July, we enjoyed a very hot day and went to the park on bikes with Olive. We also enjoyed some sparklers and pop-its, which Olive thought was pretty cool.

Walking!

On July 1, Olive decided she was going to give it a shot at walking and did walk a couple of steps on her own. As of today, she still isn't walking on a regular basis but will take a couple of steps every day and you can tell she is becoming more and more interested in it.

Weekend with Pete and Cody

This past weekend we had our first guests in the new house for an entire weekend. Pete and Cody came to town and we had a great time exploring some of the city and going to some places we hadn't had time to visit yet. Below are some pictures of our weekend.

Trip to the Minneapolis Zoo

For my birthday, I really wanted to go to the zoo so we all enjoyed a beautiful day at the Minneapolis Zoo. It was a lot of fun and Olive enjoyed it too by pointing out all of the animals. Also, they have a new dinosaur exhibit (which we didn't visit) which is why there are some pictures with dinosaurs. :)

Charlie is holding her up and she thought it was the coolest thing.

Olive - 13 months

Below are some recent pictures of Olive over the last couple of months. Enjoy!

Olive's 1st birthday party

Wow, it has been way too long since I have posted and apologize. We have been really busy in our transition with moving to Minneapolis so at least I have a good excuse, right? Anyway, attached are some pictures of Olive during her first birthday party May 11.

I also attached one of her professional pictures of her cake smash, which never happened because she started crying and wouldn't touch the cake.

Olive - 1 year old

Can you believe it's been 1 year ago that our lives were changed forever for the better? It has gone way too fast but I have enjoyed every moment.

Olive - 11 months

Today we celebrated Olive's 11 months of life outside and at the park. We discovered she loves swings and still isn't sure about slides.

Olive has been walking beside furniture and will sometimes take a couple of steps with our assistance. I am okay with her just crawling for awhile longer because once she figures out walking our life is going to involve more chasing than it already does. She has also been trying to dive out of our arms, whether sitting or standing, because she wants to go do her own thing and explore.

Olive's first Hawkeye game

Olive enjoyed her first basketball game, especially since the Hawkeyes won! She loved looking around at all the people and seemed to be into the game. She jumped every time the crowd erupted in cheering and even clapped a couple of times herself.

Olive - 10 months

Since her 9 month check up, Olive had to go in and see a dermatologist because her eczema was getting really bad. Within 4 days of starting her medicine, it was almost gone and she was sleeping so much better (previously waking up to itch her face). It is so encouraging to see the improvement.

Olive has been standing near everything she can and doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. We may have a dare devil on our hands.

Olive - 9 month checkup

I just realized I haven't posted anything for a long time and apologize. We have had a lit going on and blogging has slipped my mind.

Since Valentine's day, we had Olive's 9 month check up. She weighed 19.5 lbs (50th percentile) and was 29.5 inches long (95th percentile). She is doing well and is right on track.

So big!
