Charlie's 32nd Birthday

Happy Birthday to my amazing husband!!! Tonight we enjoyed a wonderful evening out with great food and conversation. It meant a lot because it will probably be our last date together before we add one more to our family and I am so blessed to have him in my life and can't wait to see him as a daddy.

Pregnancy Update - 38 Weeks

Although this pregnancy has been relatively easy, I am really ready for her to be here!

The Nursery is Ready!

After some serious nesting this weekend, the nursery is finally ready! We are pretty excited that it is complete so if she decides to arrive, we feel at least a little prepared. The only thing I think we need is some art on the walls to add the finishing touches.

Dogsitting Rocky

This weekend we were dogsitting Rocky and quite often we had a full couch as the pictures above show. Stella enjoyed the company and wanted to wrestle but Rocky would not have it.

Iowa's Spring Practice

On Saturday, we went to the Hawkeye's spring practice with Ben, Megan and Beckett. With some new coaches on staff, we were excited to see a little preview of what the season would look like. I think both the offense and defense needs some work but by the time the season begins, they should be ready (hopefully).

Basement Progress - We have carpet!!!

On Tuesday, we finally had our carpet installed. Now, we just have some finishing touches like trim and the basement is done. It has been a long process but we love the way it has turned out!

My Pinterest Success

I tried my first pinterest recipe and it was a success. They are called Cake Batter Rice Krispies and were delicious. It helps that I am a huge fan of sprinkles so I really enjoyed them!

Pregnancy Update - 36 Weeks

Only 4 more weeks (give or take) left! I am still feeling great and am measuring on time but both Charlie and I are just excited for her to finally be here. These last couple weeks may be long!

On Saturday, March 31, Kristin and Raegen threw a baby shower for me. It was a ton of fun and everyone spoiled BGR (Baby Girl Roos). After the shower, I definitely feel more prepared for her to be here and she is going to look so cute in all the new clothes!

For a little over 2 weeks, I was in NW Iowa spending time with family and friends.

We started the trip off with a visit to Randy and Karen to help them celebrate their birthdays. From there, I went to spend a week with Adam and Raegen because I was going to be watching the Blom kids that weekend. Charlie headed back to Cedar Rapids. I had a great time with the kids which included movie night, going to the park and watching The Lorax.

Charlie and I did end up meeting in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, the 21st because Randy had surgery 1 of 3 to repair the effects of his aortic dissection that happened in December 2010. To check on his status, click here.

I spent time with my parents the week of the 25th. I had a great time with them and got to enjoy the Newkirk Reformed Soup and Pie Supper, dinner out with my parents saddle club, and a school concert for Tristan and Tyson. I ended my visit to NW Iowa on Saturday the 31st with a really fun baby shower (see next post).
