
Every year in Santa Fe since 1924 there has been a tradition known as the burning of Zozobra, aka Old Man Gloom. Zozobra is burned to dispell the previous year's sorrows and worries.
Here is a website with more information about the event. We thought about attending this year but it gets a little crazy with traffic....maybe some other year.
